Workshop Objectives:
- To update knowledge on the use of technology, including on-line learning
and other methods of incorporating technology, in nursing education
- To promote faculty exchange of "lessons learned" regarding
use of technology in nursing education
- To address concerns regarding challenges of using technology in nursing
education
Program Description:
The growing demand for nursing graduates coupled with faculty shortages
requires that nursing educators become adept at using technology to
efficiently and effectively teach and assess student learning. Attend
this program to broaden your perspective on technology, learn innovative
applications of technology from your colleagues, and address your concerns
about its use in nursing education.
Featured Presenters:
Diane Billings, EdD, MSEd, BSN,
Pamela Jefferies, DNS, MSN,BSN
Dr. Billings and Dr. Jeffries come to us from Indiana University-Purdue
University School of Nursing in Indianapolis. Both have been pioneers
in distance education and the use of technology in nursing education.
They will lead us in productive dialogue about new ways of thinking
about and using technology in teaching.
