- In order to get a room in the block, you must refer to the group name "CTL rate." You must use a credit card to reserve your room.
- Once the hotel room blocks are released or the block fills, the hotel will continue to accept reservations on a space and rate available basis only.
- CTL pays 1/2 of the double room costs for up to two nights for attendees in "travel status". Incidentals & additional single room costs will be paid by the individual.
Note: Per state policy, the CTL is not able to cover hotel charges if your work location is within 35 miles of the conference location.
- Cancellation policy: If you need to cancel, please call the hotel to cancel your hotel reservation. The CTL will not pay for "no show" charges or for charges for lodging due to late cancellation. "No shows" will be billed to you for 100% of hotel charges.
The Office of the Chancellor would like to keep accurate records and control costs. If you cannot attend an event after registering, please cancel your registration.
Travel & Parking
CTL does not cover travel expenses. Conference attendees must provide and pay for their own transportation. You are encouraged to apply for reimbursement using your campus-based professional development funds. You may want to check with your campus to see if a state car is available.
Parking is plentiful in the MCTC parking ramp which is attached, by skyway, to the campus.
Note: The Parking Ramp gates will be open for FREE parking from 3:45 pm on Thursday afternoon, until 12:00 Saturday. If you arrive during those times, you will not have to pay for parking.
Ramp directions:
If you are driving on Hennepin Avenue from the north enter the ramp by turning right under the skyway.
If you are driving on Hennepin Avenue from the south, turn left at the Basilica, go around the back of the ramp to enter.Registration check-in and all conference materials will be available in the Skyway between the parking ramp and the campus.
Important: MCTC staff recommends that you leave your coat in your vehicle and lock the door. The MCTC parking lot has a seven foot clearance. If your vehicle is taller than seven feet, contact Michelle Halverson, Email: michelle.halverson@minneapolis.edu
Attention: People needing handicapped parking or who have mobility concerns.
The third level is the skyway level that leads to the campus. There are elevators in both the parking ramp and campus.
