8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The MnSCU Center for Teaching and Learning invites all MnSCU faculty, staff, and students to Realizing Student Potential, a one-day conference sponsored by CTL, Metro Alliance, and through partial funding provided through state leadership funds from the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Education Act of 1998. This event will take place on February 27, 2003 on the campus of Minneapolis Community and Technical College.

Faculty from across Minnesota will gather to explore the challenges of teaching students who are not adequately prepared to succeed in our various classes and labs. Relevant to all MnSCU campuses, sessions will focus on, but not be limited to, the following themes:

    • Socialization of new college students
    • Working with students' differing goals and motivations
    • Teaching students for whom English is a new language
    • Serving under-prepared and differently-prepared students

Don't miss this opportunity to meet and address issues of teaching today's students for tomorrow's success!
