All system faculty, staff, and students are invited to the Realizing Student Potential conference. This event will take place on February 27, 2004 on the campus of Minneapolis Community and Technical College. Faculty from across Minnesota will gather to explore the challenges and rewards of teaching today's students. Relevant to all campuses, sessions will focus on, but not be limited to, the following themes:

    • Assessing learning
    • Civility in the classroom
    • Teaching American English language learners
    • Serving under-prepared and differently prepared students

This conference will offer two blocks of best-practice sessions. In addition, attendees will have over three hours to meet in their disciplines, programs, or at ad hoc sessions. See Conference Schedule at a Glance.

      Dr. Stephen Brookfield
, Distinguished Professor at the University of St. Thomas, will provide the keynote address.

Don't miss this opportunity to meet and address issues of teaching today's students for tomorrow's success!
