A World of Art: Works in Progress
http://www.learner.org/resources/series64.html
A video instructional series on art appreciation for college and high school classrooms and adult learners; 10 half-hour video programs and coordinated books
Each program in this art appreciation series is devoted to a contemporary artist who takes one or more works of art from start to finish. Listening to the artists and observing their working process provides insight into the artworks themselves. The series emphasizes effective visual communication, problem solving, and critical thinking as large, often collaborative, projects are seen through to completion. The series includes painting, photography, sculpture, video, and performance art.
Produced by Oregon Public Broadcasting in association with Oregon State University. 1997.
