What does the Faculty Lodge offer?
Faculty can network at the coffee shop, take workshops and courses through learning adventures, discuss online teaching articles over campfire chats, and go down to the lake to "float your boat" by posting the projects you are working on for your workshops and courses allowing for feedback and collaboration.
A variety of electronic resources will be used to best deliver content and network with colleagues. Synchronous (live) sessions could be held via WebEx for example and the asynchronous (archived) core will be stored in D2L. Applications such as Facebook may be used for networking and other opportunities.
Workshops are one-session content deliveries in a 1-2 hour WebEx format. They will be recorded and posted for those who would like to attend later in the summer.
Roundtable sessions will occur during morning coffee, at lunch, or during camfire chats led by a facilitator who will open single topic conversations up to the guests.
Courses are multi-session content deliveries over 2-3 days. Course leaders will be monitoring discussion threads during June. Guests can still continue to work on content and projects throughout the summer while the rest of us are down at the lake!
Faculty Lodge participants (guests) will be able to freely attend the workshops and courses so you can create a summer learning package to best fits your needs.
